Dear God,
I’m never alone am I?
You’ve never left me stranded.
I was reflecting on the reality of so many people. Individuals that are carrying burdens that I cannot even fathom. Individuals that feel as though no one is around and or even willing to help them.
People who wish they could reach out and receive a hug, a shoulder to lean on, a hand to hold.
I thought of the two young survivors of the Parkland shooting.
People who (like many) just wish the people in their life cared or that someone was looking out for them.
I wish we all took a moment to remember your Prophet Muhammad and your words to him,
“And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
And He found you lost and guided [you],
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.’
Don’t they know that those words are for them as well?
Don’t they know that every step they take they are accompanied by angels?
Don’t they know that every morning when they awake it’s because you have gifted them with life once again?
Don’t they know that the sun rises for their sake and that the Earth was made to serve them?
Don’t they know that they are never alone?
I always find comfort in your words…
“If you do not aid the Prophet – Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, “Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us.” And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah – that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.”
At this very moment there are angels surrounding your servants.
Surrounding me.
We may grieve at times.
We may feel alone.
We may feel as though the world is at times against us.
But one thing is for sure. . .
You are always with us.
