Have you ever seen anything cuter? This was given to me during one of the gatherings I had during my last trip home. I had asked people to prepare questions, and she was the first one to come to me with this sheet of paper. I keep it on my desk when I’m working to remind myself of one crucial fact,
It’s always best to stick to the basics.
It’s so easy to get caught up in all of the discussions and arguments on what is right or wrong nowadays. Every time I open social media, I’m inundated with posts and messages from people that are sick of being judged, doing all of the judging, or doing both without even realizing it.
I find myself spending more time discussing aspects of the religion that don’t have any immediate benefit in my life but are filled with holes for me to fall into, paths that ultimately take me further and further away from the Divine.
This Ramadan I want to have the wisdom of this young girl, I want to focus on what matters. I want to reflect on the beautiful question that she asked,
“Why did Allah send the Quran to us?”
Because He loves us baby girl…
And His mercy knows no limits.
