Paradise, do you even deserve it?

You were promised Paradise, but it doesn’t mean you’re going to get it.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sounds contradictory, doesn’t it? It isn’t. It’s like when they changed the grading system in the States back in the day and made everyone start off with 100% at the beginning of the year. Every assignment that you didn’t receive 100% on just meant your overall percentage would drop, but you always started off perfect. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Some people wouldn’t do so well on a test, and their score would drop; they’d give up all hope, and then after that, they just wouldn’t try. The issue is, the odds were always in their favor, if only they hadn’t given up hope on themselves.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
All they needed to do was to keep trying, to keep putting forth a little effort and even if they didn’t do spectacular, they’d made it at the end of the year, often with better results than they previously imagined.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Believers are like this. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We forget that God already gave us 100%, and not only are we given tests, but we are given scores for our effort as well.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That literally means that we could fail every trial, every test, every burden that is placed on us could break us, but if we keep trying and trusting in HIm. . . we will always pass.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But we forget.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We lose hope in the system.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We see the oppression.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We feel the heartache.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We think He has forgotten about us.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But he never did, hasn’t, and never will. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
He is continually giving extra credit, regularly grading our intentions, continuously looking for opportunities to provide us with that passing score, if only we have the patience to look out for them.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I understand it’s easy to give up on yourself, to give up on those around you, and to think you don’t deserve the passing grade.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You’re right.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Nothing you do will ever be enough,⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But we don’t enter Paradise because we are fabulous and pray every prayer in the Masjid.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We don’t enter for the immense amounts of charity that we give or nights spent in Tahajjud. ⁣⁣
